Ryan & Ryan carries on the practice of law and a tradition of trust begun in 1932 by Edward J. Ryan and continued by William J. Ryan in 1974.  After graduating from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., William Ryan served as trial counsel for the Federal Power Commission. He then moved his family back home to Michigan in 1974 and joined his father, Edward Ryan, in the practice of law in Southwest Michigan. Ryan & Ryan enjoys a reputation in the legal community for skilled advocacy and integrity.  William Ryan has lectured at various seminars sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. He is past president of the Kalamazoo County Young Lawyers Association and has served on boards of local agencies, including the Constance Brown Hearing and Speech Center and the Pretty Lake Vacation Camp for underprivileged boys and girls.

Ryan & Ryan specializes in representing the injured individual in personal injury cases (including automobile accidents and premises liability cases), in worker's compensation cases, and in Social Security Disability claims. It has never represented insurance companies or employers in injury cases.

Ryan & Ryan maintains its main office in Kalamazoo and a satellite office in Coldwater.
